Today, I condoled with the Afegbua family and the entire people of Okpella, Edo State and the Nation at large, over the painful exit of our beloved Sister, the foremost Nigerian first female Senator, Franca Afegbua who passed on yesterday at the age of 79.
I am particularly saddened by her exit at this crucial time of Nigerian democratic history when her experience and counsel would have been most valuable in our efforts to proffer solutions to the myriad of problems bedeviling the nation.
I, however, asked the family and our people to be consoled with the fact that Late Senator Franca Afegbua lived an exemplary life with indelible marks that would forever be remembered in Nigerian political history.
I also join millions of her admirers to fervently pray to God to grant her amiable soul a Perfect Rest In Peace. Amen.
